The Surgical Immersions Workshop is a course in renal uro-oncology, organized by Fundacio Puigvert with the cooperation of Grena Ltd.

What is the Surgical Immersions Workshop?

This two-days-long course in renal uro-oncology allows the participants to learn about technical details of the operations that follow on the second day of the course. The participants are directly involved in four surgeries performed by urologists of the Oncologic Urology Unit.

Last year this course started the cooperation of Grena Ltd. with the Fundació Puigvert. We are happy our cooperation is continuing.

In 2016 we organized 4 workshops in the Surgical Immersions Workshop programme. The first edition ended in February and you can read about it here. The next editions took place in April, May and the last for this year - in October.

October 2016 workshop edition

The last edition of 2016's Surgical Immersion Workshop took place on October 18-19th, 2016! There has been a confusion with the dates of the workshop, we're really sorry for the inconvenience caused by misinforming you - we corrected the dates immediately after we had received the correct dates from the organizing committee.

The workshop was once again a huge success! We are glad to be part of such a wonderful cooperation. The participants were fully engaged in the workshop and were staying until late hours in the hospital to watch and learn. We had some really interesting operations and the participants had an opportunity to learn about some rarely seen cases during the workshop.

We would like to thank the Fundació Puigvert for their hospitality and cooperation, everything was organized flawless and we could see that all participants were happy to be a part of this workshop!

Plans for 2017

We can already share good news with you! Next year, together with the Fundació Puigvert we plan to organize SIX workshops in Barcelona! We are still working out the details and planned dates, we will keep you informed!
