As pandemic eased up a little Grena slowly goes back to the regular training routine.
One of our well known workshops, Surgical Immersion organized in cooperation with Fundacio Puigvert, has taken place this week in Barcelona. This workshop is oriented around improving expertise in surgical practice, updating and analyzing practical surgical aspects as well as promoting wide interaction between surgeons and attendees with the aim to exchange experience and improve patients' treatment.
During first day lectures and educational talks were held as a preparation stage and on the second day the attendees were directly involved in surgeries performed by staff urologists of Fundacio Puigvert.The objective of this workshop was the identi cation and management of intra-, peri-, and post-operative complications in each of the techniques used.
In this edition three cases were analyzed: Partial Nephrectomy, Radical Nephrectomy and Nefroureterectomy. Fundacio Puigvert is an exceptional education entity and authority in urological cancer treatment. The supervisors of this course were: Dr. Joan Palou, Josep M. Gaya, dr. Jordi Huguet Perez. As always 5 participants have attended the course. They arrived from Croatia, Spain and France.
The next edition of this fabulous course will be held on 6th and 7th of September.
