Click'a V are used in medical research investigations!

Our polymer ligating clips have proven their utility during development of a new thoracic surgery method, which was developed in Coruña University Hospital in La Coruña (Spain).

A group of medical specialists, leaded by Dr Diego Gonzalez Rivas, who is a widely known medical professional all over the world, investigated an innovative thoracic surgery operation, which is less invasive to the patient, but gives similar results to the traditional surgery methods. An article entitled "Single-port video-assisted thoracoscopic anatomic segmentectomy and right upper lobectomy" was published presenting the results of this investigation. The article can be found in the European Journal of Cardio-Thoracic Surgery, and in PubMed database.

The abstract of the article:

"Video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) segmentectomies are usually more complex procedures than lobectomies. With the gained experience in the field of thoracoscopic surgery, many thoracic surgery departments have progressively adopted this technique to preserve lung parenchyma, especially in cases of metastasis or benign conditions. The majority of surgeons use three incisions but the procedure can be performed by only one port. We report the first anatomic segmentectomy performed by uniportal VATS with no rib spreading."

Our Click'a V clips helped the surgeons in performing this surgery and perfectly came up to all the expectations. It prooves their utility, safety and biocompatibility.

We are glad to inform we have been very successful in putting on the market our new new product - polymer ligating clips.
The device as of today will be placed on the market under the new brand name - Click'a V.

Formerly the product was available under some different trade-mark. Any way, our rebrand to Click’a V was made to address an issue with a competitor. There has been no change in the quality, product process or any other aspect of the product
