1st Belgian Uniportal VATS Lobectomy Masterclass was held on December 13-14th, 2016 at the Ghent University Hospital in Belgium.

The masterclass was led by Dr Diego Gonzalez Rivas, the inventor of the uniportal VATS minimal invasive surgical procedure.

The Masterclass featured lectures, live surgery and hands-on human cadaver training.

This masterclass intendeed to provide practical & technical experience with the uniportal VATS lobectomy procedure to surgeons interested in switching from multiportal to uniportal VATS. The cadaver workshop presents an opportunity to ‘rehearse’ this technically demanding procedure before taking it to the patient.
