The Surgical Immersions Workshop is a course in renal uro-oncology, organized by Fundacio Puigvert with the cooperation of Grena Ltd.

In 2016 we have 4 workshops planned in the Surgical Immersions Workshop programme. The first edition ended in February and you can read about it here. The second took place in April.

May's edition was the third meeting this year and the workshop was again very interesting! Surgeons from Turkey, Poland, Jordan and Greece came to learn minimal invasive urology procedures. We could watch in the operating room how some of the best urology surgeons in the world perform such procedures as: nephrectomy, nephroureterectomy, "zero ischemia" retroperitonial partial nephrectomy czy robotic prostatectomy.

We would like to thank the host Fundació Puigvert for organizing the workshop and providing a learning opportunity to surgeons.

This two-days-long course allows the participants to learn about technical details of the operations that follow on the second day of the course. The participants are directly involved in four surgeries performed by urologists of the Oncologic Urology Unit.

Last year this course started the cooperation of Grena Ltd. with the Fundació Puigvert. We are happy our cooperation is continuing this year.
