We are glad to inform that our exclusive Russian distributor Omega MedServis took part in the 6th Congress of the Russian Association of Thoracic surgeons.
Grena supported our distributor with our presence. It was a great honor to participate in 6th International Congress „Current Trends of Modern Cardio-Thoracic Surgery” In St. Petersburg.
The congress schedule included scientific sessions, symposia, lectures as well as live operations broadcasted into the congress halls. Top international experts including Dr. Diego Gonzalez Rivas and many other medical professionals from Russia, Germany, France, Italy, Turkey, United Kingdom, Austria etc. made this event truly extraordinary.
Scientific program
This year's theme was: "Current trends of modern cardiothoracic surgery".
The program was composed of the presentations devoted to alternative approaches to common and rare diseases of the heart and major vessels, lungs and mediastinum, as well as burning issues of chest organ transplantation, anesthesiological support and modern imaging methods in cardiothoracic surgery.
The first day was traditionally devoted to live surgery, master-classes and schools provided be European Society of Thoracic Surgeons and the leading cardiac surgeons. Additionally, the training “hands-on” courses were organized. The second and third days were comprised of scientific sessions, round tables and poster sessions.
Official events
Apart from the scientific program, the official events for the participants were really amazing. Starting with the opening ceremony and breath-taking philharmonic performances of young talented musicians on the first day. The second evening was a gala dinner at a unique club. The last day was devoted to European football. Two teams of participants kicked-off a game full of emotions and sportsmanship! As a surprise, Grena prepared matching T-shirts for the players.
